420 Stainless steel balls have a lower chrome content than 440C, and offer good hardness and surface finish. Are used in applications where the more rigid corrosion resistance requirment can be relaxed. They have the fair resistane to fresh water, steam, oil, gasoline, blood, alcohol, perpiration and food environment. However will not pass 40 hours salt spray test, is not recommended for most chemical solutions. 420SS is also magnetic. |
